KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 17.16 g, 11 h), Amphipolis, circa 289-288. Diademed and horned head of Demetrios I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΔHMHTPIOY Poseidon, nude, standing left, his right foot set on a rock, holding trident in his left hand and resting his right on his right thigh; to outer left and right, monograms. Newell 124. A lightly toned and perfectly centered example. Faint scratches on cheek, otherwise, good very fine.
